Overview
A North Shore household was looking for ultimate energy independence. They wanted to drastically cut down their grid reliance, eliminate high suburban power bills, and secure a robust backup solution for nighttime use and potential grid outages.
The system
We installed a high-capacity setup featuring 18 premium solar panels paired with a powerful 8.1kW Sigenergy hybrid inverter. To ensure around-the-clock power, this was coupled with a 15kWh Sigenergy battery. The entire ecosystem is easily managed and monitored through the highly intuitive mySigen smart app.
The results
The system generates a robust average of around 32kWh per day. Thanks to the massive 15kWh battery capacity, the North Shore home runs almost entirely on stored solar energy overnight and during peak pricing times. This major leap in energy independence yields projected first-year savings of approximately $3,800.
